Tedious to Upgrade from 1.4 to 6.1

I still want it very very tedious, basically we need to change every domain from basic disk quota system to plan system, I really hope HC can have some scripts to convert that automatically

Anyone bother to reply? HC I know you are busy creating a new version, but giving us a path of updates that basically require creating plans for all users isnt the solution. It is no fair for those who supported you throughout the years

Boon, normaly our response time is 20 hrs for forums. There are lot of other mediums to get instant support from us. I had already told you by mail that we don¬t have such scripts so you will have to upgrade from HC v1.4 to HC v6.1 and in case of any problem you can contact with us we will try our best to fix it ASAP. Thank you very much for your continous support for Hosting Controller. We really appreciate it.

But that itself causes a lot of extra work on our side. Controlpanels is suppose to save time and not give extra work for admins. Take for eg Directadmin. Upgrade is just a click and forget!

You are right but you must had to upgrade before. HCv 1.4 is approximately 5 yrs old and we have made many changes since that time. Anyway If you get any problem during upgrade then we will fix it on highest priority please don¬t you worry about it.

It would be much easier if something can be done during the upgrade that can detect the disk quota and just put the plan may plan 20mb, plan 50mb etc with default DSN and other limits.

Dear Boon, I have already told you the best possible solution. Please do upgrade to HC v6.1 ASAP and let us know in case of any problem.

We are no more supporting HC v1.4. Just to let you know the only prerequisite for HC v7.0 is HC v6.1.

I really appreciate HC support who guide me through the difficult task of upgrading from HC 1.4. They put down all their work to trouble shoot and assist me to solve those problems one by one. Really a Big Thank You!

Just to update you guys, I have already done quite a few of the HC 1.4 Web Hosting migration to HC 6.1 Hosting. Not just updating, every single site needs to be assigned a plan manually, take my support staff entire day to do each server.

But HC Support has been extremely helpful throughout the process. Thank goodness HC 6.1 to HC 7 is more or less automated.
