ODBC DSN Security

Right people have you noticed when you create an odbc dsn with an access database theres no box to enter a username or password for dsn security?

So when a user makes a dsn to an access db in theory every user can access that db without any security questions, win 2003 has a bit of an issue as odbc is stored in an ini file which isnt secured properly, so when someone opens dreamweaver and goes to add a dsn to their webpage they can click the button to find their dsn and it will show all dsn¬s on that server.

So basically users can come in and wipe out peoples data through dreamweaver and other packages like that.

Ive sent this suggestion to hc support about 3 times to implement username and password security for odbc dsn¬s but nothing has been done yet, what do the rest of you think?

Well Its not a big issue giving UserName password for Access ODBC. Its already being done in case of CFMX DSN. The username and password fields are only hidden in case of a non-CFMX dsn. Anyway they will be available in next available hotfix.
