Trouble with domains

I have installed Hosting Controller on a Windows Server 2003, and created a reseller account with a few webadmin accounts for testing. However, I can't seem to access files in the webadmins' domains. Unless I entirely misunderstand, I should be able to open

http://(website name)/default.htm

in the web browser, but that doesn't work. The website is listed as being up and running and I can find nothing wrong with it. Furthermore, I can access the file in question easily enough on the address of

http://(server URL)/(reseller name)/(webadmin name)/(website name)/www/default.htm

so the server itself seems to be working fine.

Also, though I don't know if it's related or not, I can't upload files to the server using the Folder Manager. I can't even set a path to upload them to - I can set the path for Create File/Folder, but not for Zip File/Folder or Upload Files. The "Path:" label for those two parts of the Folder Manager window remains empty no matter what I do, and when I try to upload a file, I get a message saying "Error 70701200 : You do not have the required resource quota."

Obviously, I need a way to fix both those problems. Can anyone tell me what the cause or causes might be?

Are you trying to access domain folder via ftp connection or you are unable to check domain name http://www.domain.com ?

Note: To access domain folders  use ftp://domain.com and give webadmin login for authentication.

it is necessary that windows quota management is not disabled, Go to My computer... > Right click
on the drive where webspace existed....> Properties ...> Quota tab...> Quota Entries... >>> Enable it from here.

File Upload issue through Folder manager

In HC panel you can upload files from menu ' Tool  > Folder Manager >>> From left side tree menu chose destination domain path and then upload files in it.

    Follow additional  below instructions

1= Go to this path C:\Program Files\Advanced Communications\HostingController\Temp  and remove the temporary uploaded files

2= Give everyone users full permissions on temp folder located in C:\Program Files\Advanced Communications\HostingController

3=If you are using 2 nic card then priority of network card which using HC Ip should be on top, check it from Start > Control panel > Network Setting > Advanced tab > Advanced setting.

4= go to start > run > dcomcnfg >Component Services > computers >Dcom config>>>>>> Right click on ‘ FiletranferService ‘ properties >>> Security tab… There give everyone user full permissions in “ Launch and Activation permissions , Access permissions, configuration permissions “

    5= Restart HCRemoting Service.

I am trying to open http://www.domain.com in a browser. I get an error message saying that the server can't be found.

2= Give everyone users full permissions on temp folder located in C:\Program Files\Advanced Communications\HostingController

Why the Temp folder? It's not the one I use as a root folder for the web server. Should I use C:\Program Files\Advanced Communications\HostingController\Temp as the root folder for the web server?

As it is, I've now done 1-2 and 4-5 (there is only one network card on the computer). The results are still exactly the same.

If Dns zone is unable to locate by your webserver then such problem could appear. Are you using Dns server with HC panel and does it install in local machine ?

    Temp folder :
Don't set website root path into HC installation temp folder. The temp folder located in HC installation is only to use for temporary bases for uploading files on server, Then HC client service automatically  move it into specfic website folders.

Hi, I have this somehow similar problem, not really similar but almost.. I tried your suggestion by not setting the website root into the HC installation folder, it worked. Though, I still need to work on some few things to improve everything but thanks for this advise.. :) Keep posting, I usually found a lot of solutions in here.. :)
