Awstats not running each day

Sometimes, HC will skip 2-3 days of AWstats processing. We need to restart the Quota service for it to start processing again. This unfortunately causes the customer to miss 2-3 days of data every week or so. Anyone else have this problem with HC 7.00.0010 ?

HC Quota service has nothing to do with AwStats Server. Please follow this article to fix this issue.

Thanks I meant the Sync Service. Its like the Sync Service 'hangs' and needs to be restarted in order for it to process log files again.

Due to previous mem leak issues we restart all HC services at 8:10AM everyday, causes less issues that way :)

Do you have any error message in event viewer regarding HC Sync. Service?

We have the sync service running everytime and still the awstats does not update. HC should seriously think on fixing the bug. The same bug was in the old version too and the new version is no good in fixing it.

Windows = 1 web , 1 remote mail /dns ( total sites = 347 )
Linux = 2 web ( total sites = 93 )

Using Xeon E5420 4GB RAM... didn't face trouble with CPU load.

But in past I faced trouble with HC REmoting service memory usage which fixed by setting restart schedule at mid night.

HC support had given us a solution of scheduling the awstats update every 3 hours which we did in one of the servers and since then the stats are not lost anymore. However, the server does not have more than 100 websites and is a Dual Xeon Quad Core server with 4 gigs of RAM. Need to check with servers with a lot more websites, say 500+.

Personally I didn't like awstats the major problem in it is to retrieve old days missing logs.
So I have moved on Smarter stats ;)

We too offer smarterstats to customers, however, most of them find awstats easy to understand and smarterstats equally difficult. That is the primary reason, we have to stick with awstats.

Awstats is free, while Smarter Stats is very expensive. I prefer Awstats, with 150 sites it's a problem.

Smarter Stats is far far better than awstats or webalizer, because of their accurate logging report. Easy to generate missing day log etc etc

Even if I have to run 10 domains I will go with smarter stats :)
