New suggestion to improve the space allocation

Hello,

I have a suggestion to make to improve the space allocation in Hosting controller. While creating the website in the control panel we should have an option to set the webspace for different services like say of 1 GB space allotted to a website, 200 MB for the webspace, 400 MB for the database and the rest for the emails. The space for the log files should be excluded in the limits. You can also have an option like space allocation to individual email account. This feature is already present in a few control panels and can be useful for hosters who allocate space separately for each service of the domain. Since this feature is not present, the space allocation for the databases or the email accounts are as per the defaults set in the server and that turns out to be a major problem as the requirements are different for different individuals. Because of this the hosters have to remove the default limits in the server and keep a watch on the webspace usage of the domains, thus increasing the manual labour. This will also give an edge to HC over the competitors as there are companies like Cpanel releasing their control panels this month which will have lots of handy features for hosters worldwide and needless to say Cpanel is currently the best control panel for Linux.

I hope HC takes a note of this suggestion.

The implementation of the new folder quota system can be included in your To-Do list as it is an integral feature on Windows 2008. Also can I know whether these will be supported in the next build and when is the next build expected?
