Bandwidth calculations

Hi,

We are running 5 web servers, 1 mail, 2 DNS, 2 SLQ etc all seperate servers. I have noticed that the bandwidth calculations are wildly different for many accounts on different servers.

We have 3 types of reports for bandwidth.
1.. Smarter Stats
2.. Live Bandwidth (By LiveDNS)
3.. Hosting Controller

Smarter Stats and Live Bandwidth are always the same (or very close)
However Hosting Controller can be a huge difference.

Eg: 02-05-2008
Smarter Stats and Live Bandwidth report 186MB for a busy site.
Hosting Controller reports 10279.85MB??
How can this be?
This is across many domains over all servers.
Not all sites are wrong, but some a way wrong.

Has anyone come across this?

Please make sure you are running latest build 15 on all of your machines. FYI HC bandwidth calculation is based on HTTP traffic and IP based FTP site upload/download.

Hi,

Yes are are running version 15 on all servers.
We use ServU FTP with shared IP address.

Still does not explain why so much difference?
