ftp sites

i am using gen6 for hc7, it doesn't allow for me to create just an ftp site. I would like to sell ftp sites without having to create a web site for it. How can this be done?

HC does not create 'FTP Site' without its website. Here is a work around, create a website with fake name then you can login to server IP using ftp user name and password.

then why is there a button called "ftp sites" which always says no sites found? If I can't create just an ftp site, why have it as a displayed option?

First you must have to create an IP based domain from hc panel then you can see FTP site created for IP based domain under this option.
