IPs, local or public - calling all HC users

hi all,

just wondering how people configure their IP addresses. do you setup your entire cluster of servers NICs with private IPs then use your router to forward external requests to the corrent machine,,,,, or..... do you assign your public IPs to you NICs and setup HC directly on those?

what are the pro's and con's of each?

thanks
zac

You may find benefits and drawbacks of Natting from this link: http://ipv6.com/articles/nat/NAT-Pros-and-Cons.htm

Using the information given above you can either use NAT or can directly bind public ips to your NICs.
