Plan Manager - Better, Faster & Efficient

We have been listening to customer feedback on plan manager. Many people have found current plan manager a bit scary. Generally this is because we tried to cover almost everything that a host would want to do in hosting lifecycle. But by doing this, plan manager became a complex piece of software to work with and error prone as well.

After collecting enough feedback, we have started working on plan manager improvement program. Here is some details of what we have been trying to accomplish.

1. Interface re-designing - We are making the interface more easy to work with.

2. Different plan manager modules are linked together to provide better usability.

3. Extra interfaces like ¬Import Host Plan¬ are moved to Advanced Options. Moving these to Advanced Options has simplified overall look.

4. Plan allocation failure report is improved. Tried to add a bit of intelligence to this, so now if you try to sell a plan and allocation fails due to resource shortage then you will get a very concise Quota status report with a button. Behind that button, HC calculates current statistics and recommends a solution itself. So, with the click of a button, you can get rid of error, and if not willing to take HC¬s suggested solution then click on ¬Let me Decide¬ to decide yourself.

5. Tried to tightly integrate billing and plan manager. Assigned different status to sold plans, like Paid, Half Paid, Unpaid, Suspended, etc.

6. Credit limit is now like liquid cash. If you have given $150 limit then only plans/add-on up to worth $150 can be purchased.

6. Plan comparison is now possible, you may select plans and compare them at once.

7. Version 1.4 style friendly Quota Reports are available. If reseller has purchased 10 plans, he can quickly check the usage status through these reports. Reports are shown in logical manner, plans are grouped with plan owners. Visual aid, like the one under HostAdmin->User Manager->User Stats, is provided.

8. Now, host may take back sold plans as long as plan is not utilized.

9. Ability to suspend reseller account. This will disable all website and accounts under that reseller.

10. Removal of around 30 bugs in plan manager. You will find new plan manager very efficient now.
