301 Redirect setup.

Until now ive put additional domains (such as having xxxxxx.co.uk and xxxxxx.com) under the host headers, however this doesnt work as well with SEO.  Ideally id like to setup a 301 redirect.  Is this what the redirection URL does, and is there a way to do this without setting up a complete new hosting package each time? else i presume id have to create a plan with no webspace etc to sell for a redirect url.

Many Thanks

I do not think that for redirection URL you would not need any separate plan because the redirection url comes as part of properties of domain.com under the menu : Domains >> Properties of domain.com >> Redirection . I hope this is the correct location.

THe problem is, ive created a hosting for xxxxxx.co.uk and sold a hosting plan.  They now have xxxxxx.com and i need to setup a 301 redirect.  To get to the section you mention i have to add it as a new domain - do you mean to just add it under teh same plan again?  And is that setup as a 301 redirect?

Yes, but to do that the domain needs to be in the HC panel.  To do that i have to sell a plan to attach it to, or add it to a plan they have for the other domain(in which case i need to increase the number of DNS zones i presume)
