please add cron jobs to next version

It would be great if the next version of HC has a cron component. Something users could access from the control panel to schedule http requests.

It is written is asp.net and it has a http feature that is great. It runs as a service. Of course I would not want the client to be able to run any other types of server jobs, just http requests. And maybe limit the number of jobs that can run.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. It seems like you are the ONLY one asking for this new third party software integration therefore I am afraid we can not integrate any new software on the request of one customer besides this it is not beneficial for most of the HC users.

1- He is not the ONLY one.
2- You can write something similiar your own. You dont need to purchase and integrate a 3rd party component.

I can see where you are coming from but I feel if HC users knew what they could accomplish with cron they would definitely want it included.

You should probably create a list of proposed additions to HC and send a survey to all current users. Give them an incentive to reply(discount on future version upgrade) and get their opinion. It would probably be a good idea to mark which items may increase the cost of the overall product to see if they how bad they really want something.

I hope you are not relying on posts in this forum to dictate product development.

Did a cron style thing ever get implemented. I can get around it with the windows scheduler but users cant do that themselves.
