HC7 Versions

Right i've noticed hc keep releasing new installers well thats all good etc your not giving build numbers within hc

How do we know theres a new version if you dont show a build number on the installer and within hc

So hc7 Build 1.0.3 something like that

Your not releasing hotfix's just new installers so no one knows if they are really up to date.

We are already working to provide live update feature same as Microsoft for HC7 and Message Center feature will be further improved to enable it useful for HC build update. You can check your Build number from this path Build HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Advanced Communications\HostingController\General\BuildNo of registry. Latest Build no is 7.00.0004.

I like the build number now within hc but you have it in the wrong place

Hits hc dev's with magic stick!

Place it under server manager,
Then instead of
Server Name IP Address OS Family Is Master

Put
Server Name IP Address OS Family Is Master Build Num

That way you know if all your servers in the cluster are up to date.

I assume the build number displayed after login is the one on the master server or am i wrong.

So if you can do as i said above and then add something so we can see what the latest version of hc is etc. Once thats done i think you will be sorted, that way you can view which server has what installed and somewhere view what the latest version is etc!

According to developers, Servers will not communicate with each other in case they have different builds so it is not possible for us to display build numbers.

O.K. interesting, so if you upgrade one server in the cluster until you upgrade the others they will not work, good to know!

Since HC is using .NET remoting for communication between different remote servers so it is must to upgrade it on all of your machines located in same cluster.
