SMTP, who would like changes?

I see many people have requested that HC SMTP be a bit more flexible. The errors it shows are not RFC compliant.

If mail is stuck on undelivered folder, you have to move to spool folder to hope that it will be sent. Try to understand the unconventional HC SMTP logs... And in worst case, what we do is change the headers, send them to ourself, then reforward the msg in Outlook.

Cant HC really make this better or is it already better in HC 7? Didnt have a chance to check.

Why not let us use our own SMTP servers?

Or at least an option like Merak has "if direct delivery fails, try via some SMTP relay server"?

Also generate bounce backs to resadmin.

It would make our life much easier.
