Yes, Its a BIG BUG.

I suppose that HC should test your software with: several Antivirus, Firewall, a lot of software installed on the system, because sometimes one .dll has conflict with other .dll and it’s very difficult discover… while the staff doesn’t recreate the most extreme scenario.
Also, BOTH (you and I) had migrated from HC6.1 then I have one question. Are these issues chance or casually??

Is very important check theses issue until the deep of the problem.

Could be something related to 2003 r2 thats the only major thing i guess will be different to other hc users apart from we did the migration etc.

I know many people who use the same software config as we do and they have no issues.

HCSync works 8-9 times per minute! "Web resources update" I don't have more space for other logs! (Event viewer) also the system is a little overload with this...

The strange fact is that Resources Update Interval : 12 hours

lol you wonder why i disabled the sync service.

It was causing to much crap, cpu + mem + hard drive i/o basically it was destroying our box.

Dont think hc have looked at our box in a couple of days i know tahir said they were looking into it yesterday, maybe they have found the fault and trying to fix it?

I think this is related to 'sync service' after 10 days of perfect working AWStats it stoped working, and AWStats started to work again after restart of the 'sync service'.

Yes, I wrote to HC Support about this. Some facts:

- Whith HC6.1 we don't have any issue with old "HCSMTP Service" this service updated Awstats in 2-3 minutes BUT no more time (each 30 minutes, update interval).

- Now, HC7 take around 15-20 minutes !!! for update all my websites for this reason I suppose the BIG issue with I/O.

Then I have one question: WHY this HCsync Service doesnt update all my web stats in 2-3 minutes? !

I am sure that HCSync Service need an urgent improve. HC Support should test your software with more than 100 domains for view this issues. I sure that with 5 domains is impossible view this issues with HCSync Service.

Thanks for improve HCSync Service.

We are monitoring Chris machine in detail. There hardly any chance that it’s a memory leak, the memory does grow when the schedulers run, but it returns after some time when the .NET garbage collector recollect the memory.

Here is some monitoring results on his machine.

HCSync Service statistics:
8:45pm =18196K Memory usage
9:26pm =19244K
10:03pm=20,456K
11:03pm=20,884K
11:53pm=19,772K
12:46pm =53664K
01:17am =50217K
01:28am = 50,272K
01:39am = 50,268K
01:56am = 50,284K
02:03am = 50,872K
02:11 am = 50,544K

Like you can see below that memory drops from 50MB to 29MB and this is how garbage collector works.

02:24 am =50552K
02:56 am = 29,520K

Anyway we are checking HCSync service again for all the possibilities.

Check to see if you have debugging enabled, un-tick all the boxes.

It just struck me about 10mins ago while talking to tahir, i disabled all debugging disk i/o dropped to nothing, memory dropped from 78mb to 23mb, cpu dropped to nothing.

Let me know!

@Chris, Please see the new images. I see the same issue but while 1'30 seconds, the issue with I/O was normalized, after this time all AGAIN.

I has been un-check all HC Debug, now I can view a "better" performance. This is a good signal about the issue >> maybe HC Debugs!?

However the I/O is:

What do you think? Normal?

RN

Edit/ At this moment Awstats update take only 2-3 minutes for update all werbsite!!! Its great. But HC debug has any problem...

Mines very close to yours!

Notice its writing in kb not mb lol

I don’t know which debug log causes it and I’m not prepared to find out at the min.

Tahir in tech support nearly fell off his chair when he heard what i did to solve this.

3hrs 30mins so far no issues, i manually ran awstats, bandwidth and disk updates from the registry didn’t cause any issues!

Now i can get on with reporting the rest of the issues we have to hc.

So all other users be warned when you enable the debug logs it will take quite a bit out of your server so only use them if needed.
