If there is no chance for using ServU then the best option is FileZilla Server.

We hope to see ServU 8/9 support in HC panel. But if it is not like this then we are Okay with Gene6 ftp server. Affordable in price and got good features.

I have 2 web servers IIS6 (2k3) & II7 (2k8) on these I want to use Servu ftp server. Before I purchase ServU 2 licenses may I know when it will be supported in HC8 ?

Just a quick update - Serv-U 9.0.0.1 was released on September 29, 2009 and is now available for download and installation. This
build adds a very powerful new API to the Serv-U File Server which is publicly available and comes with a fully-documented example
DLL. Once installed, the "Serv-U Integration Sample DLL" folder is created in the Serv-U installation directory and contains that
sample code with a Visual Studio project file included.

This API is still flexible enough to be updated to meet the needs of HostingController 8, and although we cannot integrate it into
HC ourselves we're willing and excited to be able to work with the Hosting Controller team to made any desired modifications and
provide support as needed as they integrate Serv-U into HostingController 8.

We will not suggest you to purchase a product which is yet to be decided if we are going to integrate or not.

If you can't wait longer then you have alternative option to use Gene6 ftp server or MS-ftp.

Also the good news is we are going to support MS-ftp7 in Build5.

HC member  told us yesterday that they don't have plan to support latest ServU :(
And going to support other ftp server like Ftp7.

Is there anyway to migrate ftp user from ServU 4 into Gene6 ?

Hi Patrick,

This is unfortunate, as we added the Integration DLL to Serv-U 9 to assist in the process of enhancing Serv-U, especially for our customers who use solutions like HostingController to centralize the management of datacenter needs. Did HostingController indicate to you why they do not intend to support Serv-U 9?

They said that ServU9 integration is not set in top list. If it is supported after 6 or 8 months then it is useless for customers like us.

You should talk to them and ask to give priority for this integration.

Hi Patrick,

We're ready and able to work with HostingController's technicians at any time to make integration a reality, which we have indicated to them directly as well. All we are waiting on is for them to let us know they are ready to set up integration.

Yes this is right as currently we don't have any plan to integrate ServU9 version. In coming release of HC MS-ftp7 will also be supported.
