We dont have many requests, the COM objects we have such as aspupload and aspjpeg we install for entire server.

How Can I Configure or Integrate My Kentico CMS Billing System and Products in HC8?

Hi

I have some pre-sales questions from HC.
We currently Have 2 x Helm 3 control servers with 20 remotes all windows 2003 r2 std edition 32bit.  Both control servers share the same remote servers.  Can we migrate both the control servers in to one HC Database??
We also have WebsitePanel running on Windows 2008 and 2008 R2 with 15 Remotes,  Can we too migrate that in to a single HC Database so we have 1 control panel to replace our current 3??
 
Migration tool questions:-
 
can we run a migration on the server without making it live, ie have everything in the control panel but not change IIS so we can see the CP working with the domains before we go live? as the description seems to say it'll copy all domains to new paths etc which as this time we don't want.
 
How does Migration tool manage FTP Accounts? does it edit all of them too to the new paths?
 
Do you support moving from WebsitePanel Hyper-V module to your Hyper-V module  in the migration tool?
 
General Questions:-
Does your WHMCS module fully work with HC8? I read some posts on here where people say it does not work in multi-server environment? 

Can resellers create sub-resellers? as if we are moving our Website Panel customers, obviously we can't take this feature away from our customers?
 
Can the billing panel & domain registration be disabled globally? we don't want any of our resellers to use it as it has no anti-fraud protection in it, we'd much prefer people to stay with WHMCS etc.
 
Do you have a Repair/Restore/Migration tool similar to Helm 3 for disaster recovery?
 
Module Questions:
 Does your Hyper-V support Bandwidth monitoring? 
Does your Hyper-V support the new Windows 2008 R2 SP1 functionality  such as dynamic RAM?
Your website says "Configuring network adapters/Sysprep support ^{Coming Soon"}  How do you currently template Windows VPS if this feature does not exist? i thought this would be the most basic first feature?
Your website also says "Sending VPS summary letter"  Was this feature list copied from Dotnetpanel website? as clearly its not a letter as a letter is usually something sent in the Post, it should say Summary E-Mail.    The feature list also looks very similar/copied.
 
Support/Development/Update Questions:
 If i was a current customer, and i contacted you via ticket or forums as i found a bug,  how long would it usually take you to fix a bug and deploy it? do you provide hotfix's or does everyone have to wait for the next official update release?
 
What is your HC plans for 2011/2012/2013 for growth and new features?
 
What is your average support response turn around?
 
Also on your online demo, if i create a shared ssl and then click the domain, if i click browse nothing happens... shouldn't that attempt to open the shared SSL in a new window?

I am looking for reviews on HC from current customers, ideally i am looking for a response from a multi-server host with windows 2003/2008 with more than 10 server setup.

Hosting Controller releases Windows and Linux build 11, and latest RBX for HC8. These latest builds (both for windows and Linux) provide new enhancements and bug fixes in HC8. Please check this page for details.

I have an interesting feature request, wondering what others think. A way for HC to do a clean up. Check DNS records, ftp sites, mail, etc. that are stale, that are created in each respective program, but dont exist in HC database (due to some problem such as HC didnt delete it since integration was not functional). HC would possibly just generate a report so admin can take action.
 
What do you think? Id really like this feature :)

Im wondering how other hosts are dealing with the new cumulative quota system... If anyone out there was using also 1 domain per plan and how they are dealing with new cumulative quota.
 
We always used to use 1 domain per plan, it was always easier this way. So, for example, a certain webadmin has 10 plans and 10 domains, lets say 5 parking domain plans and 5 hosting plans, each for its respective domain.
 
We have a customized billing system, it shows each customers domain and respective plan.
 
Then came the cumulative quota... The thing is, now new domains for HC are not associated with any plan... So our invoice would show a new plan created and next to it, instead of its plan, it would show "No plan found".
 
The workaround I found is, for the new domains, that dont have a plan associated with it, our invoice shows the text "cumulative quota" and at the end of the invoice it shows all the domains that dont have plans. At least, in the invoice, where customers here are used to seeing a list of their plans and which domain uses which plan, it shows all their domains.
 
Im wondering if Ill keep it this way or how I can adapt to cumulative quota in the future. I imagine I could change all customer's plans and fit them in 1 plan that would have multiple domains, etc. But it would be really hard work to go over hundreds of customer, see what they have, and fit them into new plans that have basically everything they have... and Id have to change all my hosting plans, make plans that have multiple domains and resources.
 
Maybe HC could keep better backwords compatibility for those that had 1 domain per plan... The cumulative quota would still exist, but a new domain would be tied to a plan... It would still use resources from all other plans, but a certain plan was sold with the goal of hosting a new site...

Any help is appreciated...

The only way to add Google apps srv records is with the edit zone option.  The zone editor will not accept a FQDN that leads with an underscore.    As more and more of our clients move to google apps we need this to get fixed soon.
