HC7 is not compatible however we do have a plan to integrate it with HC.

I 2nd this, MB support is well overdue to HC.

I agree. Modernbill is long overdue and since HC's billing is not going to work for everyone, those of us with multiple hosting platforms that use modernbill would LOVE to see this integration.

I am quite disappointed with HC7's dns, truly an end-user will be out of luck and thus the reseller or host is required once again to handle the simplest of dns issues.

Also, the interface is still too much like 6.1...

anyway, I vote YES on modernbill 5.x integration!

Mostly end user does NOT have skills to play with DNS therefore it should be avoided to provide such option directly to end user however HC has provided flexibility If host wants to offer it to end user. DNS is a sensitive thing so one should have sound knowledge about DNS working before editing it. I think current editor is very simple and easy to use.

Modernbill 5 ?? have you seen that thing ? I installed it as test since beta and now release and I hate it.
I am sticking to v4 with patches !!
I think the MB staff made a huge mistake on the design of MB 5, cumbersome, not easy to set things up, completely un-friendly interface...
hard to migrate all yrou settings from previous versions
I will not be using it.

We were going to give it a try but decided to build our own billing system

Its going to be quite complex as it includes our domain reg with godaddy's api, theres tons of stuff to add into it, so main focus is a solid backend and then add everythng else bit by bit, sort of bolt on's :)

In the billing system, we need to have a possibilities of change the startup date of purchased plan. It will be an important feature.

HC set startup date of the plan when it was actually sold. If you change the startup date then it will create inconsistency with already generated invoices.
