Right another small bug
When user restores mssql db it doesnt always work
Reason is there are open connections to the db.
So either hc needs to override this which it can be done theirs a force all connections to close command i believe or it needs to hold the restore in a queue until its successful. I would prefer the first option!
More error output is needed on a restore; everything that mssql chucks back relating to errors needs to be shown in some way hc!

Another thing which is really starting to annoy me!
Merak and HC
Why is hc still requiring api.dll to be stored in system32 cant you guys implement merak so it uses the normal merak program folder i.e. c:\program files\merak
At the moment every time we upgrade merak we have to go through a procedure to update api.dll which tbh is wasting everyone’s time and causes some issues.

@Chris and others, Can you compile all bugs list in build 8? For put it in the first post also rearranges it with order. Thx. -1º It is impossible send any mail through Control Panel, it has this error: "Could not access 'CDO.Message'" solution, please guys take a look in this reference: http://forums.asp.net/thread/713369.aspxThen HCmail has a false positive said message successful sent, but it is false because HCmail Debug show "Could not access 'CDO.Message'" then also Invoices, Setup creation, Password recovery doesnt work! -2º Pending definitive solution for IISPassword, it is easy, only view this old post, but the solution works perfect. http://forum.hostingcontroller.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3928 (In some system that had migrated from HC6.1 IISPassword doesn’t work) -3º Pending improve Bandwidth graphs. -4º Disk Usage Report is wrong for "Disk Usage Report of "onedomain.com" (incorrect values non updated) but is updated for "Reports :: Disk Usage :: Usage Report :: Details" -5º Drop-Down Box Menus for Tools :: COM Manager :: Register COM > Associated website; an others Drop-Down menus doesnt have any sort. -6º Incorrect ACL, Control Panel doesnt read any perms from HHD, also Control Panel repeat some perms a lot of times (bucle)... -7º When you used Disk Quota or Bandwidth with Warning message, then this message never is remove if wou assign more quota, Control Panel doesnt remove HC7Isapi from IIS... -8º When you go to folder manager and select a folder and click zip it up, it creates the archive but hc doesn’t put the .zip file extension ... -9° -10° -xx°.. @Crnunez
Most of above mentioned issues will be fixed in Build 9. Regarding IIS Password; we have not found any issue with migrated users locally.
@Chris
We will discuss SQL Server open connection problem with developers. FYI In HC7 there is no need to have Merak API.DLL in /system32 folder. It should work without having this file on above path.
I will suggest you to test HC7 after build 9 release.

I reckon build 13-15!
I've scripted most of our backup so far DNS Zone Files DNS Registry Files IIS Metabase MSSQL 2005 Databases + Users + Passwords MySQL 4 Databases + Users + Passwords MySQL 5 Databases + Users + Passwords Last task of course is Data backup which is slightly more tricky, i.e. permissions have got to be copied over etc.
We use active directory so even if one server dies all the user accounts should remain but i'm working on a backup for that
By the time hc have theirs made we should have ours built!

Hello, Is very important for us to have in the next build "auto recycle for HCSyncService" every 36 hours restart it (example XX:10 minutes with this it doesnt affect awstats upate or another thing). This service consumed high memory and it isnt good for server performance.
Thanks!

Tell me about high mem lol
I sent this to hc this morning, they have actually been working on the issue and the developers are looking into it!
Two screen shots below http://www.dhosting.co.uk/hc7memleak.jpg That was 3 days ago
This is today http://www.dhosting.co.uk/hc7memleak05-05-2007.jpg
Its starting to get a little crazy :( I'm not sure if this awstats though, i know hc modified the code and may have messed something up by mistake maybe

Feature Suggestion!
1. Have a HC Cluster status page - CPU Usage - Overall Memory Usage - Individual HC Services Memory Usage - Individual HC Services CPU Usage - Process Viewer, i.e. all processes running on that server, ability to kill a process etc - Network usage, mb/s something like that
ASP.NET will allow the above to be done, in ASP classic it would have been hard to achieve!
HC you now have the central control machine sort of like H_E_L_M as they have a control server. Now their is a need to be able to monitor each server in a cluster etc

Is better that HC apply auto restart every day at 04:15 A.M. For these services. Thanks! R.N.

R.N. - Restarting a service is not a fix, a service should be able to run for a long time i.e. months - years without a restart, its clearly a programming issue somewhere causing the issue, restart is a no no i'm afraid. Anyone who thinks restarting a service fixes an issue is mad.
As a temp fix why not create a batch script to run at say 2:45am, isn’t hard just net stop servicename and then after their all stopped to a net start servicename.

Ok Chris, I agree with you about that isnt a definitive solution BUT it is a urgent solution (fast pacth). Please, You can speak with HC for open your minds and they understand that is a BIG ISSUE! :) At this moment they dont consider it.... HC, Again, I have some customers very ugry with my company because when I select Bandwidth Usage Threshold : Actions to Perform : Sell ADD ON >> Add-On Quantity : 100 then then OTHER BIG ISSUE appear when any user has overbandwidth appear BOTH yes BOTH "STOP WEBSITE" and install HC7 ISAPI unde website with "PROMPT MESSAGE". Please its a serious bug. Thanks! R.N.

Regarding the hc service issue, hc are very aware of the issue and are working on it i know the techs have passed it back to the developers as they cant find the reason. I suspect its awstats we dont have a lot sites but some have a lot of hits and awstats has to read those log files etc. Anyways i could be wrong :)

Annoying issue gerrr!!!!!!
Say i sell a reseller a plan with the following excluded IP Addresses Shared SSL
Now when the reseller goes to create a plan on their account they can set resource amounts for items which are excluded. Am i going mad or does this not make sense.
Why allow the reseller to try and sell something they don’t have.
So surely the resource should be set to exclude automatically on the plan the reseller is creating. If they've purchased an add-on for an excluded resource fine allow them to set a number but its getting a bit stupid.
