FTP username

Hi,
 
Starting with recent versions of HC, when creating a new domain, HC is creating FTP username as such

domain.com_ftp
 
I can change it while creating domain, but I still preferred the old method, just the word of domain "domain". Why did it change and is there a way to change default back to that way

Issue with HC ticketing system and SPF

Friends,

I found some customers are rejecting ticketing emails due to SPF. Let me explain, their email is setup as lets say customer@domain.com.
 
When they open a ticket, they get a copy and the FROM/SENDER is their own email address customer@domain.com. When received by their remote SMTP (their ISP), it is rejected due to SPF failure.
 
I dont have access to domain.com. Its their "big ISP's" e-mail server, not their own domain.
 
Resadmin replies are ok as they use a static sender I define in HC. Problem seems to be with the copy they get of the ticket they opened, where HC uses FROM and TO = their profile address.
 
Pls advise if you guys can change the FROM in such cases or let us do that, to avoid SPF issues. Sorry if there's a setting for this, but seems there isnt.

oscommerce Isuue

Hi, i have a strange problem that i cannot get fixed mainly i think? (im no expert so just a thought) due to my C:\WINDOWS\Temp folder not being writable!
 
When i install oscommerce 2.2 rc2 through click and install apps it works fine. 
 
The problem is if i try to install oscommerce without using HC ie to install a CRE Loaded Version or any version (ive tested various versions including 2.2) i get a bag full of errors. Any assistance to solve these errors would be appreciated. I posted here because everywhere else i searched and visited on the net i was confronted with 2 more bags full of errors/problems and basically got nowhere after a few days trying to solve this issue under my own steam. Anyways thanks in advance and here are the errors. Also hope this is in the right place as i was unsure where this porblem fits. I searched the oscommerce site but thought this specific to HC as 2.2 through click apps works fine.

HC Ticketing - small issue with signatures

Friends,
 
I had an issue with trouble tickets, which was finally fixed, I couldnt edit the trouble ticket templates, HC found the problem happened only in Firefox and fixed it.
 
Then I tried to explain something to one of the HC technicians, but he seems to have a hard time to understand it and doesn't give me a clear answer. And its quite simple. So here it is, my last attempt at showing something that IMHO you guys should fix.
 
- Please consider adjusting the troubleticket template, as I did for portuguese, in english.
 
Reason: this signature "Regards, Technical Support Team / Owner support company" appears even if webadmin opens a new ticket or replies to a ticket. And it's very confusing, because imagine, webadmin signs the message, for example "Best regards, Joe". Then below his signature appears "Regards, Technical support team / Name of resadmin company", mixed with user's signature. But it was NOT tech support team/resadmin that answered (it was the webadmin!), so it shouldnt, of course, show signed by resadmin company :)

 
If HC had some mechanism to only add that if resadmin replied, then it would be ok, but since it doesnt, IMHO the solution is simple, the same as I did in portuguese, REMOVE THE SIGNATURE from the template OR if you prefer, change it.
 
Instead of Regards, Technical support team / Name of resadmin
 
Put something like "Powered by name of company resadmin is related to"...
 
Its a simple text change in the template.

Migrating SimpleDNS to MS DNS - does anyone have experience and can help with consulting

Hello, everyone!
 
Has someone ever migrated from SimpleDNS to Microsoft DNS?
 
If by any chance you work with consulting services and can help us with this task, please reply.
 
Also open to using BIND (Win or Linux). I just need to be sure that its 100% stable with HC. With SDNS we have multiple problerms, for example, customers edit zones and it messes up the zone completely, etc.
